The most well-travelled people I know are also the most shallow and empty.

To be clear, I'm not opposed to travelling in and of itself. Of course it can be good for you. What I'm talking about is individuals who are lifelong travellers, nomads who belong nowhere so pride themselves on being (slightly) familiar with everywhere. In my experience, these individuals tend to have very shallow relationships, and are frequently narcissistic or cruel and incapable of genuine friendship. These are the types who inevitably become extremely well-travelled, since they have nothing else in their lives or in their souls.

Also, it goes without saying that the vapid early 20s girl who is "doing" Eastern Europe in order to "find herself" is, well, vapid. I honestly think that travel should probably be banned for people with an IQ under 110, because it gives them delusions of worldliness.
