Russian tycoon wants pension age lowered to 45

Russia needs a new pension reform that would lower the pension age to 45, businessman Oleg Deripaska, founder of aluminum giant Rusal and, for a time in the late 2000s, Russia’s richest man, told the news outlet Expert. He believes the assets of state-owned companies could be used to fund the plan.

“It is necessary to replenish the assets of the pension system in such a way that for people over 45 there is a source of pension payments that does not depend on the federal budget. And that's where state property comes in handy... We have these assets: Gazprom, Rosneft, all other state-owned companies…” Deripaska suggested.

Former Fishing Village in China has more Billionaires than New York

China now hosts three cities with the greatest number of mega-rich, according to data from the Global Rich List - including Shenzhen.

144 billionaires live in Beijing, 121 in Shanghai, and now New York has been knocked out the top three (110).

Shenzhen, a former fishing village turned China’s Silicon Valley, has 113 of the globe’s most wealthy. The city has been basking in a growing concentration of wealth, adding eight billionaires to its list since last year.

According to Heng Chen, an associate professor of economics at the University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen’s rise stemmed from its efforts to make the city welcoming to businesses, for instance, by offering tax breaks to high-tech companies.

The Social Credit System is coming to Europe.

In Bologna, Italy, the 'smart citizen wallet' will be introduced, rewarding 'righteous' citizens with points.

Citizens will get points/rewards if they sort waste if they use public transport, if they manage energy well, if they do not get penalties from the municipal authority if they are active with the culture card.

At first glance, it looks like good intentions. But it is only a matter of time before rewards become sanctions (e.g. if you reject to get vaccinated or criticise the government).

By the way, this project of a "European digital identity portfolio" is led by the president of the European Commission, Ursula Von der Leyen, a president who, let's not forget, is not elected by the European citizens.
