FAIR DUES to the small number of brave truckers today who stood there ground all day lawfully and peacefully blocking the east gate bridge in protest against the soaring cost of living being forced on the people of Ireland thanks to FG/FF and Greens.

They had great support online but that did not show up on the ground in the kind of numbers needed to keep the State/Garda bully tactics at bay. Only when there is critical mass can peaceful and lawful protests succeed.

Absolute SHAME on the big haulage firms who did not join their fellow truckers, as they could have tipped the balance of power in favour of all the people’s of Ireland. Sadly the big haulage firms are only too happy to pass ever rising fuel costs on to the public. This is why your everyday costs, food and deliveries are getting more and more expensive with no end in sight.

No doubt some online protestors will comment an excuse like it was a work day and it should be on a weekend or it was too far. So read this — protests are inconvenient, are awkward and are costly. And until enough good people pay that price this government will remain in power.

Always remember, the price of protest is cheaper than the price the government is costing you right now and into the future. Your whole quality of life is under attack. The longer you take to bring them down lawfully and peacefully the more it will cost you.
