Very poor turnout for the NGOs and political parties today. Using taxpayer money to fund their day out in Dublin, with music performances by convicted murderer Steo Wall (who killed a man in prison over a heroin deal) and offering free buses from all parts of the country, the protest has brought out between 5000 and 10,000 "protestors".

Claims by the organisers to have "50,000" in attendance does not hold up to scrutiny, with some commentators using software to estimate the crowd size at less than 9000.
