Academy Award Nominee
Best Documentary Short (1976)
👮🏻♂️Sergeant Bernie "Whistling" Smith walks the beat on Vancouver's Eastside, the hangout of petty criminals, down-and-outs & a variety of characters.
His policing is unorthodox. To many drug users, petty thieves & prostitutes in this economically depressed area he is more than the iron hand of the law, he is also a counsellor and a friend.
Smith's no-nonsense approach didn't win him many friends. Even some of his fellow cops questioned his unorthodox methods.

A review of 87 studies all showing that racially diverse societies sharply reduce community life and civic engagement.
This is remarkable. Sociological studies are infamous for lacking replicability, but when it comes to the social impact of racial diversity, you get the same result every time.

One of the side effects of the war will be that Western countries will get a strong and politically influential Ukrainian nationalist diaspora. That's a done deal at this point. Millions have left for Europe and North America and are never going to return. It will be interesting to watch how this neo-Banderite diaspora will act. The old one got up to some interesting shenanigans. They're extremely good at mimicry and entryism. Regardless of your feelings whether nationalism is good or bad, Ukrainian nationalism has a very specific way of infiltrating societies, with Canada being the best and most obvious example.
And they don't even have to be bona fide Banderites! Back in the 60s, the Pearson government was working on a large-scale cultural project to establish a proper Canadian nationality - one of "biculturalism", that would unite Franco-Canadians & Anglo-Canadians into a coherent national identity based on "an equal partnership between the two founding races", as the Laurendeau-Dunton Commission put it. But they forgot to ask someone!
Paul Yuzyk, a son of first-wave immigrants from Western Ukraine, didn't like that. In response, he developed a theoretical concept that went on to conquer the Western world by storm: multiculturalism. As La Wik puts it:
Paul Yuzyk (24 June 1913 – 9 July 1986) was a Canadian historian and Senator remembered as the "father of multiculturalism."[1] He was appointed to the Canadian Senate on 4 February 1963 on the recommendation of John Diefenbaker. He sat as a member of the Progressive Conservative Party caucus until his death.
He was an associate professor of Slavic studies and professor of history at the University of Manitoba and a professor of Russian and Soviet history at the University of Ottawa. He was the author of several books including The Ukrainians in Manitoba: A Social History (1953), Ukrainian Canadians: Their Place and Role in Canadian Life (1967), and For a Better Canada (1974). He was co-editor, with William Darcovich, of the book A Statistical Compendium on the Ukrainians in Canada 1891-1976 (1980).
Yuzyk is remembered for being an early advocate of the concept of multiculturalism, which he first broached in a senate speech on March 3, 1963.[2] In the speech he criticized the Lester Pearson government for consecrating "Biculturalism" in the Royal Commission on Bilingualism and Biculturalism, which Yuzyk said ignored the reality that Canada was in fact a "multicultural" society.
The idea of a nationalist coming up with multiculturalism only sounds strange if you have some kind of universalist delusions; it makes a lot of sense to make the people around you less nationalist if you're a member of another nation.
The Galician infiltration of Canadian politics and culture has reached a level where the country's foreign policy is basically run by Banderites, with e.g. the Deputy Prime Minister Freeland being scion of such a family. Her grandparents were Banderites who worked for the German occupation administration in Ukraine and fled to Canada after WW2; their daughter, Freeland's mother Halyna Chomiak, was also an active member of the Ukrainian nationalist diaspora, but publicly worked in the other direction - she was a feminist and ran for the left-wing New Democratic Party in the 1988 federal election, which never stopped her from hanging out with people who build monuments to Waffen-SS veterans.
Once again, there is no contradiction here. Freeland herself is a total libtard but has no problem visiting events organized by groups that would be persecuted for hate crimes if they had been formed by "the two founding races", and of course supporting those groups back in her homeland.
Thus, it'll be interesting to watch what the neo-Banderite diaspora will get up to in the coming decades. Maybe we'll see a US governor, Dutch mayor or German federal minister with such an illustrious biography, like being an LGBT activist from Kiev with a brother who died at Azovstal. Fun times ahead.

Just 22% New PPS numbers went to Irish in 2022 Cromwell would be jealous of Ireland's New Plantation.
Of 286,168 New Personal Public Service numbers given out in 2022 only 64,721 went to people born in Ireland...that's a mere 22.61%.
we need to shout Stop to this New Plantation of Ireland.
