A woman in her 80's received notice from her landlord in Kerry that she had to leave the premises as it was being used to house Ukrainian refugees. This comes at a time where the homeless are being kicked out of hostels in order to house refugees while worsening the homeless crisis. This is a clear indication that the government doesn't give a crap about the homeless community in Ireland. EU housing policies are overwriting Ireland's housing policies which has resulted in this mess. I support all victims of war however Ireland simply doesn't have the capacity to house 1000's of people in the middle of a housing crisis. It's time to say "Screw the EU" before they destroy our country any further. Their destructive policies don't benefit the Irish or the country and it's time to say enough is enough.

An embargo on Russian oil will not stop the war or save any lives in Ukraine, a European Parliament member from Ireland, Clare Daly, has said.

“Not because I’m sorry for Russia, not because I’m on the Putin payroll, but because sanctions don’t work. They have never stopped a war,” Daly said in a speech on Friday, as quoted by the Irish Independent.

Daly, who is a member of the left-wing Independents 4 Change party, argued that “not a single Ukrainian life will be saved” by the EU’s embargo on Russian oil....
