Not one of these taxes existed 100 years ago, & our nation was one of the most prosperous in the world... We had absolutely no national debt, had a large middle class,a huge manufacturing base, and Mum stayed home to raise the kids.

What in the Hell happened? Could it be the lying parasitic politicians wasting our money?
Oh, and don't forget the relatively new bank charges....
And we all know what we think of Bankers.

The truth always comes out

A little background information on our Tánaiste Simon Coveney, his family and their connections to RTE and others: In March 1998, it became publicly known that the Moriarty Tribunal had questioned Coveney's father Hugh about whether he had a secret offshore account with Ansbacher Bank, a bank which had become notorious for facilitating tax-evasion. Ten days after the questioning, on 13 March 1998, Hugh Coveney visited his solicitor and changed his will. The next day, 14 March 1998, Coveney's body was found at the bottom of a seaside cliff - he had been out walking alone. Simon Coveney, insisted that his father had never held an Ansbacher account. It later emerged that Hugh Coveney had $175,000 on deposit in the secret Cayman Island-based bank. Hugh's other son Rory Coveney (The Tánaiste's Brother) is currently head of strategy for RTE. Their older sibling Patrick Coveney is the chief executive of food firm Greencore - Greencore is the company involved in the horsemeat packaging scandal of 2012/13 - the meat was found to be on sale in Tesco, Asda, Sainsbury's, Aldi, Lidl and others. Táiniste Simon Coveney is married to Ruth Furney. Ruth is the niece of Larry Goodman. Mr Goodman was investigated by the beef tribunal: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Beef_Tribunal - set up to investigate malpractice in the Irish beef industry. His company, Goodman International was also investigated by the ITV World in Action programme regarding the chemical treatment and repackaging of putrified beef and offal for resale as fresh beef. Ruth Furney works for the IDA - since the early eighties, the IDA have provided enormous funding to Goodman's businesses, in 1987 alone; Government funding of between £200 and £250 million was drawn down. In 2016 Mr. Goodman's company ABP was awarded a multibillion dollar contract to supply beef into the USA. Prior to the contract being awarded; Simon Coveney, who was minister for Agriculture at the time; accompanied Mr Goodman and his delegation on trips to the United States. When questioned in the Dail by Paul Murphy TD about his connections to Mr Goodman and ABP and a resulting possible conflict of interest - Coveney claimed he had "no relationship with him" this; despite Larry Goodman sitting at the top table at Coveney's wedding to Mr. Goodman's niece six years previously.
