Another great article on this guys substack. This one about the Irish Land Wars from 1830s to the 1960s (which, as author states, the 1960s being understudied period in regards to opposition from Irish public in regards to rich foreigners buying up Irish land - IRA Legend Tom Barry discussed his anger on this in an interview I'll forward next, Sinn Féin also wrote a based pamphlet on it in 1962 ill forward).

Remember that time in 2020/21 when there was discussion of a Hong-Kong City to be developed near Dundalk which would house 50,000 Hong-Kong immigrants?
Well, that was rejected at least but let's have a look at some other bizarre British Demographic Policy Plans in Ireland over the Centuries.
Of course, there is the well known 16/17th Century onwards Plantations of English/Scottish Protestants but let's have a look at some of the weirder ones.

James Harrington, of Cromwell's government, drafted a plan to make Ireland a Jewish homeland (Panopea is a codeword for Ireland, Oceana for England). Idea was that it would solved both Jewish/Irish problems by replacing the Irish with Jews and turning it into a merchant island.
The Jewish Museum of Ireland gave a talk on it and 18/19th Century Planter Novelist Maria Edgeworth touched on it in a novel to try combat claims she was antisemitic.

William Petty (1623 – 1687), Cromwellian land thief and deforester of much of County Kerry, planned an exchange of women between England & Ireland so that the English women would Anglicise the Irish men and the Irish women would be dissolved into the English population.
