The York School of Defence is returning to Wild North this year to provide swordplay workshops.

As you will already know, we are supporting Little Paws Ferret Rescue for Wild North 2026. One of the ways we can do that is our charity raffle.
We have a few secret special items that could be won, but we can also do with some more, and this is where you come in! Raffle prizes in the past can involve toys, artwork, art commissions, games, and props. It can also be something silly, as long as it's appropriate.
If you have something you'd like to donate as a raffle prize, be sure to send us a message, either to events@wildnorth.uk or @WildNorthComms.

As we are now less than three weeks away, we now have a schedule for those who plan to arrive by public transport.
Here are the details of lifts from/to the railway station:
Lifts will depart from/arrive at the railway station car park. If you arrive early on Friday, you may wish to explore Chester-le-Street for a while before heading back to the station for your lift.

Greetings adventurer! At 7th bell on Saturday heroes are summoned to save the Wear Wood! Are you brave enough to try? I'm looking for 5 players to join in an epic game of Dungeons and Dragons, and a loyal and supporting band of Audience members to accompany them! As some of you know, Wild North allows attendees to carry props such as LARP weapons outside the castle grounds, and to arrange mock fights for photography. We do encourage you all to check section 14 of the Code of Conduct to understand what kinds of props are allowed: https://www.wildnorth.uk/documents/code-of-conduct
If you are unsure if your prop is allowed, make sure you send us a message @WildNorthComms with any questions you may have. We can let you know if your props are safe to bring, will require an inspection by an organiser, or should be left at home before you plan to bring it with you.

This is a game of social play, and slight deception. You do not have to be good at the game, played before or even seen the show the Traitors. Kivuli you host is there to guide you

What to bring
- Proof of Identity (Photo ID with legal name and Date of Birth)
- Warm clothes
- Toiletries (e.g. toothpaste, soap, shampoo)
- Cash for the Trading Post
- Money for the hotel bar and restaurants (contactless and cash accepted)
- Spending money for Beamish - admission (£35 adult, £26 student), food, gifts
- Snacks and drinks (optional)
- Good walking boots/trainers for the country walks
We look forward to meeting you.
