First of all, we would like to thank you all for your patience and enthusiasm as we work through registration for this year's Wild North! We look forward to seeing you all in September! What makes Wild North as fantastic convention is all of you, as such, we have some important reminders on ways you can contribute:

Conbook
We're still looking for short stories and illustrations for this year's conbook. If you need time to bring your ideas of fantasy and adventure in the Age of Heroes to life, don't worry.

All you need to do is either email creative@wildnorth.uk or send a Telegram over to @WildNorthComms to express your interest by 30th June, and we can allow you additional time to complete your work for the conbook.

Events
There have already been proposals for events coming in, and we still have room on the schedule for more! If there is an event you'd like to run, please send an email over to events@wildnorth.uk or send a Telegram over to @WildNorthComms by 31st May.

We look forward to seeing what events Wild North has in store for 2026!

We now have a waiting list for non-residential registration. You are welcome to register and join the list, and if places become free, they will be offered in reg order. Castle Classic Double and Courtyard Classic Double are still available.

We are happy to see you all register for Wild North 2026. Due to the level of interest, to help us handle registrations and manage our waiting list, we have decided to give everyone one more week, until Tuesday 9th June, to complete registration before it closes.

We also have a limited number of double rooms available. If you have a room partner in mind, please register with that person by 9th June and create a sharing group together. Remember, these rooms are first come first served, so be sure to register as soon as possible!

Evening Flufftails!

Our good friends from Little Paws Ferret Rescue will be returning once more as our charity for Wild North 2026.

The charity will be running ferret races for attendees to enjoy and they'll have a table at the trading post.

Based in Sunderland, Tyne and Wear, they have rehomed over 150 rescued ferrets and have been taking care of more over the past year.

Their work is made possible through volunteers who love the little creatures, and they need donations to continue their rescue work.

Tomorrow is the last day for you to express your interest submitting artwork or stories for the conbook. Remember, you don't need to have your work finished by tomorrow for it to be featured in the conbook.

We are looking for volunteers to help moderate our Telegram and Discord channels. As moderators, your responsibilities will involve:
* Monitoring new join requests, verifying new users are genuine and wish to socialize with others in the Wild North groups.
* Making sure messages posted to the chats meet the rules of the chat.
* Report to admins if any user/message does not meet the rules of the chat.

Wild North is what it is thanks to the help of volunteers. If you're able to spare some time making sure our community is positive, supporting, and has an interest in fantasy and castles, be sure to let us know at @WildNorthComms.

If you’re travelling by train, cheaper Advance tickets are now on sale. The nearest station is Chester-le-Street, where lifts will be available to get you to the castle.

And if you’re arriving on horseback or dragon, please let us know in advance, so we can prepare a stable for your valiant steed.
