Yet the above source and Steinem’s own admission show she did not just ‘do some work for a CIA-financed foundation’ or happen to be ‘briefly involved’: she deliberately and knowingly took money from the CIA and actively collaborated with, and endorsed, it.
If this is what Steinem could get away with after being exposed, it is not hard to imagine how many other so-called ‘activists’, ‘icons’ and ‘radicals’ are working for the same or similar agencies.
