Israeli military spokeswoman Anna Ukolova has drawn outrage in Moscow after threatening that Russian authorities who “wish Israel ill” could be subject to “elimination,” while suggesting Israel could hack into Russian closed-circuit television cameras to identify and track targets.

Asked by a journalist with Russian radio broadcaster RBC whether Israel had access to Russian traffic cameras, Ukolova declined to answer directly but warned that “Khamenei’s elimination shows our capabilities are serious” and that “no one who wishes us harm will be left aside.”

She added, ominously, “I hope Moscow does not wish Israel ill right now – I’d like to believe that.”

In a September 2016 incident, Vladimir Putin's official car (the President was not in the car at the time) crashed head on in Moscow, when it was rammed by a Mercedes that suddenly swerved across from the other driving direction at high speed on Kutuzovsky Avenue, an 8-lane densely trafficked freeway

Paramedics arrived at the scene but announced Mr Putin’s chauffeur had been killed instantly. The driver, named only as MK, was said to be Mr Putin’s favourite chauffeur and had 40 years of experience as an official driver.

The driver of the Mercedes escaped with injuries. He said he suddenly lost control of his vehicle while driving normally, leading to speculations that the car's computer system might have an inbuilt backdoor that could be used by foreign intelligence services.
