This song is heavily inspired by the classic 19th century German patriotic song: ”Was ist des Deutschen Vaterland”.

It starts off from the perspective of a German, asking just what exactly is, the German Fatherland. He names several influential states and regions, all of which he is told no, that is not the Fatherland. When he finally ask to be given the answer, he is told that the German Fatherland is so much larger than that. That the Fatherland is and will always be the German people.
The song also mentions how the German identity is being under attack, and that we today are the last stand against this evil that wants our destruction.

This song was made in Honour to the countless of Heroic German Soldiers who fought in the immense cold and brutal Eastern Front in World War 2. Against the Eurasian Soviet Russian hordes.

The cold could reach degrees as low as -40 degrees Celsius. So cold that it was said that a quick slice at the throat and the blood would turn to ice, making bodies into statues.

Glima was introduced to Iceland by original Norwegian settlers, and the variant of the sport called ‘Trouser-grip wrestling’ (brókartök), is now Iceland’s national sport. Other variants are ‘Backhold wrestling’ (hryggspenna) and ‘Loose-grip wrestling’ (lausatök).

Some historians believe that Glima, with regional differences, was widespread in all of Scandinavia during the Viking Age, and was practiced before Scandinavians went ‘viking’ on raids as a way to train combat skills as well as stamina.
