It makes the people vulnerable and exposes them to foreign powers, that can with Democracy, more easily subvert, infiltrate, corrupt and exploit the people. There is a reason why the Jews have opposed and targetted the European Monarchies, infiltrated them and replaced them with Constitutional puppets or outright Republics. Because with Democracy, the leaders are behind the scenes and are those who have money, they are harder to depose. While with a Monarch or a Dictator, the leader always has a face.
