Remember remember the 5th
V for Vendetta is a dangerously accurate representation of what is happening in the world today. The film was written and adapted by the Wachowskis the same duo that wrote the Matrix trilogy.

The film is about a totalitarian dictatorship that gained its power by creating and releasing a virus into the population, who out of fear, exchanged their freedom for the promise of ‘safety’.

Fear and panic is instilled into the masses through a centrally controlled propaganda machine that brainwashes them into believing a scripted mainstream narrative, used to further an agenda of Fascist authoritarian control.

The film paints a picture of a dystopian reality that bears resemblance to George Orwell’s 1984 and is propagated through surveillance, censorship and suppression of thought. Order followers (police and military) do the bidding of their authoritarian masters, whilst the public are encouraged to police each other in the name of ‘public protection’.

The film touches upon the following topics, all of which are prominent in the world today, especially in light of cv-19:
