Management, industrial organisation and clever government intervention take the form of shaping incentive structures. The most powerful form of intervention is institutional design. Societies are formed of hierarchies and successful ones implement insights about human nature and organisation that have been accumulated over centuries, even millennia. We can learn from the oldest hierarchies and organisations that go back millennia: tax administrations, religious organisations and the army. In this article I look at the effectiveness of the UK/US armies compared to Germany and the lessons for HR, organisations and institutional design. The key principle of success emerges: subsidiarity, or decentralisation. Let's learn from the Prussian Army!

Assange Hearing
Defense says that the extradition treaty does not cover espionage offences - the claimed offence. Extradition would be arbitrary and the US seeking extradition is abuse of process by the US.

Extradition in breach of Article 4 of the extradition treaty would violate rights. It is abuse of process to seek extradition as proceedings breach rights.
