The suspected was killed in a shootout and later identified as Mohamed Jalloh, a former Army National Guardsmen migrant from Sierra Leone.
Jalloh had previously been arrested in 2016 for attempting to join and provide material support to the terrorist organization ISIS. He was convicted in federal court, and released from federal prison in 2024

Communist Virginia βAssault Weaponsβ ban moves to Governor Spanbergerβs desk after house democrats pass bill π·πΊ
The unconstitutional ban, if enacted, would prohibit the importation, sale, manufacture and transfer of βassault firearmsβ as they call it, and large-capacity ammunition feeding devices, and completely prohibits anyone under 21 years-old from owning one.
Under the proposal, violations would be punishable as a Class 1 misdemeanor, with a three-year prohibition on purchasing, possessing or transporting firearms following a conviction.
Antique firearms will be exempt from the bill, along with bolt-action and lever action rifles. The bill will also allow limited transfers of certain weapons lawfully owned before July 1, 2026 to people over 21 years-old exclusively.
