Some interesting writings left by Wehrmacht soldiers in the towns of Monchengladbach and Rheydt, Germany, later discovered and photographed by the allied forces in March 1945.
Sgt. Frank Sossi, a company clerk in the 111th Infantry Regiment, 1st Army (independent unit with no assigned parent division), described the scene when his unit moved through the towns about a week later, saying, "Unless my eyes deceived me, the so-called 'super-race' must have established a new national emblem, for all the homes along the route were fluttering snow-white flags in the wind."

The Lavon affair, codename Operation Susannah, was a failed Israeli covert operation conducted in Egypt in 1954 in Egypt. It was a false flag operation created by Pinas Lavon, and Israeli military intelligence, with the goal of destabilizing Egypt enough so that the British government would keep its occupying troops in the Suez Canal area, and the United States would refrain from supporting Egyptian nationalist parties.
The plan was to be carried out by Egyptian jews that belonged to a top secret cell, controlled by Mossad and Israeli military intelligence, code named βUnit 131β. They were tasked with planting bombs inside of Egyptian, British, and American owned civilian businesses and then blamed on the Muslim Brotherhood, Egyptian communists and local nationalists.
The operation commenced on the 2nd of July, 1954, with Unit 131 detonating bombs at the post office in Alexandria, and on the 14th of July, bombed the libraries at the U.S. Information Agency in Alexandria, and a British owned theatre on the same day.
Ultimately, the operation was a failure and didnβt cause any casualties in the civilian population, but led to 4 operatives KIA, 11 arrested after the overseer of the operation allegedly informed Egyptian authorities of the plan, and 2 operatives later committed suicide after being captured.
The Israeli government later nick-named the operation βThe Unfortunate Affairβ, the director of Israeli military intelligence Pinas Lavon resigned, the operation worsened relations with Egypt, the United States, and Great Britain. Israel denied any involvement and called the operation a hoax.

He crashed the vehicle around the Southwest freeway, tried to run, which triggered a hours-long standoff in a nearby neighborhood. Hall was apprehended and charged with capital murder, tampering with evidence and evading arrest.
A close friend told local news outlets that Marietta was a kind hearted, caring, upstanding citizen that co-owned a travel company. She cared deeply about her community and loved to help others in need.
