Have you heard about Zen gardening? π
The main idea is to transform ordinary garden care into a process of self-discovery and spiritual development. Every action in the gardenβfrom planting seeds to harvestingβbecomes a meditation, where being present in the moment is essential.
Key principles of Zen gardening:
π’ Mindfulness in every movement. Itβs important to fully immerse yourself in the process, noticing every detail: the texture of the soil, the scent of the plants, the sounds of nature.
π’ Using simple tools and care methods.
π’ The desire to find tranquility and a pleasant routine in everyday tasks, turning plant care into a space for self-discovery.
Maybe itβs time to find enlightenment and water your bonsai?π§
Itβs a unique approach to growing plants that combines gardening with a meditative practice infused with mindfulness

Have you heard about the unusual techniques for processing bonsai? πͺ΄
π The first one is "Shari" (photo 1).
This is a style of bonsai processing where part of the trunk is exposed, giving the wood a dead, bleached appearance. This effect is achieved by cutting specific areas of the bark and subsequently bleaching them. Juniper is typically used for this technique.
π It is very similar to the βJinβ technique (photo 2).
In this technique, all attention is focused on broken branches with upward-pointing tips. This is achieved by removing the bark. The dead branches and cracks in the trunk create a sense of eternity, while the style βTree Bent by the Windβ conveys the destructive power of time. To enhance the aging effect, the dead parts can be coated with lime, giving the tree a silvery hue.
