Two Southern District of New York prosecutors involved in the case against Eric Adams were placed on leave on Friday, multiple law enforcement sources told NBC News. The attorneys are Andrew Rohrbach and Celia Cohen. 

A former SDNY prosecutor confirmed, after consulting with two current prosecutors in that office, that marshals arrived at the U.S. Attorney’s Office and after presenting a document signed by Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche, they escorted the two Adams prosecutors out.

BREAKING🤔: Authorities revealed Friday that actor Gene Hackman died of heart disease and showed severe signs of Alzheimer’s disease a full week after his wife died of hantavirus in their home.

Authorities initially ruled out foul play after the bodies were discovered Feb 26. Immediate tests for carbon monoxide poisoning were negative.

Arakawa, 65, was found with an open prescription bottle and pills scattered on the bathroom counter. Authorities linked her death to hantavirus pulmonary syndrome.

Hackman, 95, was found in the home’s entryway. His death was tied to heart disease with Alzheimer’s disease contributing.

Hantavirus is a rare but potentially fatal disease spread by infected rodent droppings. It is typically is reported in spring and summer, often due to exposures that occur when people are near mouse droppings in homes, sheds or poorly ventilated areas.

NEW🔥: Education Secretary Linda McMahon said Friday that about 300 workers took the agency's offer to be paid $25,000 to leave their jobs.

“The $25,000 was a buyout provision that was only good from the Friday that it was announced to the following Monday,” she said during an interview with NewsNation.

The department sent out an email Feb. 28 to staffers informing them they had until Monday to decide whether to accept a buyout. The email warned that layoffs would likely happen in the future.

She said the option was available to about 4,500 employees with more layoffs expected. 

Dozens of Education Department staffers have already been placed on administrative leave or fired, according to The Hill newspaper.

The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) said it fired three people who were associated with a supervisor’s directive to skip homes with President Trump’s campaign signs while facilitating Hurricane Milton disaster relief efforts following an investigation.

“That investigation has concluded, and upon my review of all related materials, three additional individuals have been terminated. This action has been taken both because of their failure to meet the standards of conduct and because it is essential that the entire workforce understand that this incident was reprehensible and this type of behavior will not be tolerated at FEMA,” Acting Administrator Cameron Hamilton wrote in a letter to House Oversight Committee Chair Rep. James Comer (R-Ky.)

💥🔥 The state of Missouri won a multi-billion dollar lawsuit against China for its role in the COVID-19 pandemic after none of the defendants showed up to court.

A Missouri federal judge ordered China and the other defendants on Friday to pay the state “an amount of $24,488,825,457.00,” with post-judgment interest “at a rate of 3.91 percent, compounded annually.” The People’s Republic of China and co-defendants, including the Wuhan Institute of Virology, “failed to appear or otherwise answer after being properly served, and [are] therefore in default,” Senior U.S. District Judge Stephen Limbaugh wrote in his order.

In 2020, Missouri sued the Chinese government for $25 billion “for causing and exacerbating the COVID-19 pandemic” and for hoarding medical equipment during the pandemic, but China refused to appear in court, according to Bailey’s office. Instead, Beijing dispatched a Chinese government surrogate to litigate its lawsuit on its behalf to shield itself from legal repercussions, Missouri Attorney General Andrew Bailey’s office asserted in a legal filing on Friday.

🤣Rosie O’Donnell’s recent social media posts have left fans wondering if she has moved outside of the U.S.

On Friday, the vocal Trump critic shared two updates on her Instagram account, which she recently set to private. Both posts hinted that she and her 12-year-old daughter, Dakota, might not currently be in the United States.

In one of the posts, O’Donnell, 62, shared a selfie taken from behind the wheel of a car, with a caption noting that she was driving on the opposite side of the road compared to the U.S., suggesting they could be in the U.K. or Ireland.

“Bought a little used car to tool around the countryside on the wrong side of the road,” the former “View” co-host wrote. “Hit the curb three times – thought I hit a cat !!! #newadventures ❤️.”

In another post, O’Donnell showed a snap of her daughter in the backseat of the car with a backpack next to her and a tablet in hand. The “League of Their Own Star” wrote in that caption that she was taking Dakota to school, adding that she “can’t wait to walk to school” with her.

FIFA crypto coin surges 142,000% after wild Donald Trump claim in White House address

A cryptocurrency named FIFA COIN has been surging since US President Donald Trump teased the potential of a coin built around the highly-anticipated World Cup next summer.

The FIFA Club World Cup trophy appeared at the White House Crypto Summit, which added flare to the high-profile event focused on digital assets and blockchain policy.

Speaking at the event, FIFA president Gianni Infantino suggested that the football federation is 'very, very interested under my presidency to develop the FIFA coin.

'So if there is anyone interested in teaming up with FIFA, we'll conquer the world of soccer with the FIFA coin,' Infantino added.

Seemingly excited by the idea, Trump joked 'That coin may be worth more than FIFA in the end.'
'It could be quite a coin, actually,' he added.

After Trump's remarks, a cryptocurrency named FIFA COIN (FIFA) spiked by 142,000 percent, reaching a market capitalization of approximately $3million.

President Trump said on Friday he was appointing Fox News host Laura Ingraham and Fox Business anchor Maria Bartiromo to the board of the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts.

In February, weeks after taking office, Trump fired the center’s president, replaced the board of trustees and named himself chairman of the organization.

The moves represented a takeover by Trump of a cultural institution that is known for its signature Kennedy Center Honors performances and is home to the National Symphony Orchestra and the Washington National Opera.

“This completes our selection,” Trump said on social media after announcing the appointments of Ingraham and Bartiromo.
