Why do we need an education reform?

Massachusetts spends millions to feed migrants

Most of us can't afford to spend $21 to $31 on dinner every day.

Yet, that's how much the state of Massachusetts spends to feed homeless migrants. The cost is completely unjustified - meals include spaghetti and hot dogs or rice with one chicken leg.

In addition, Massachusetts spends about $75 million dollars a month to support 7,500 migrant families living in state emergency shelters.

State Senator Peter Durant expressed concerns about the transparency of the spending. Where are the tax dollars going? And how most of the money never reaches the destination?

Is the distribution of resources fair? Taxpayers spend more to feed migrants in emergency housing than they do to feed their own children.

Giving homeless people the money that they won't even get is exactly what we want to be doing.

A new study from the University of Toronto found - teens who use marijuana are 11 times more at risk of psychotic disorders in comparison to non users. And before using, these teens did not have a predisposition to mental health disorders.

Increased risk relates to the development of the brain at different stages of life. And delays in cannabis use until 20 years of age reduce serious health risks.

Another study found: marijuana addiction increases the occurrence of bipolar disorder fourfold and depression twofold.
