85.7% is not just a grade.

When I saw my Tawjihi result today, I did not see only a number. I saw twelve years of my life. I saw the child who walked into school for the first time carrying a schoolbag and many dreams. I remembered every early morning, every difficult exam, every page I studied, every moment of exhaustion, and every time I had to find the strength to continue.

Tawjihi was supposed to be the final chapter of a long school journey that my family and I had waited years for. But I did not experience it like an ordinary student. I studied in Gaza during a war, at a time when nothing around me felt normal.

Instead of worrying only about exams, I was also living with fear, uncertainty, and the sounds of war. It was difficult to open a book and concentrate while everything around me made me anxious about what the next moment might bring. I was expected to memorize lessons and plan my future at a time when simply feeling safe had become a dream.

There was no real stability, peace of mind, or proper environment for studying. Some days, I could not study at all. On other days, I would read the same sentence repeatedly without understanding it because my mind was overwhelmed by fear and worry.

Whenever I felt that I could no longer continue, I remembered the twelve years I had already spent working toward this moment. I remembered my family’s sacrifices, the dreams I had carried since childhood, and the future I still wanted to build. Giving up would not have meant losing only one school year; it would have felt like losing the effort, memories, and hopes of an entire twelve-year journey.

That is why my score of 85.7% cannot be measured by numbers alone. It represents twelve years of education and a final year completed under circumstances no student should ever have to experience. It represents the fact that, despite the war, fear, exhaustion, and uncertainty, I reached the end without abandoning my dream.

Some people may see only the number. I see the child who began this journey twelve years ago, the student who tried to build a future in the middle of a war, and the family who waited and prayed for this moment.

Alhamdulillah for this result after everything I went through. I am proud of what I achieved, not because the journey was easy, but because I continued despite how difficult it became.

85.7 ليست مجرد علامة.

اليوم، عندما رأيت نتيجتي في الثانوية العامة، لم أرَ رقمًا فقط، بل رأيت أمامي اثنتي عشرة سنة من عمري. رأيت الطفل الذي دخل المدرسة لأول مرة وهو يحمل حقيبته وأحلامه، ورأيت كل صباح استيقظت فيه مبكرًا، وكل امتحان خفت منه، وكل صفحة درستها، وكل مرة تعبت فيها ثم حاولت من جديد.

كان التوجيهي بالنسبة لي نهاية رحلة دراسية طويلة انتظرتها أنا وعائلتي سنوات، لكنني لم أعشه كما يعيشه باقي الطلاب. درستُ في غزة، في وقتٍ لم يكن فيه شيء طبيعيًا. بدلًا من أن يكون أكبر خوفي هو الامتحان، أصبح الخوف من الحرب والقصف والمجهول يرافقني كل يوم.

كان من الصعب أن أفتح كتابًا وأحاول التركيز بينما كل شيء من حولي يدعو إلى الخوف. كان عليّ أن أحفظ دروسي وسط القلق، وأن أفكر في مستقبلي في وقتٍ أصبح فيه مجرد البقاء بأمان أمنية. لم تكن هناك أجواء مناسبة للدراسة، ولا راحة نفسية، ولا استقرار، ومع ذلك كنت أحاول أن أتمسك بكتابي وبحلمي، لأنني شعرت أن الاستسلام يعني ضياع تعب اثنتي عشرة سنة كاملة.

مرّت أيام لم أستطع فيها الدراسة، وأيام كنت أقرأ السطر نفسه مرات كثيرة دون أن أفهمه من شدة التفكير والخوف. وفي كل مرة شعرت فيها أنني لم أعد قادرًا على الاستمرار، كنت أتذكر السنوات التي قضيتها في المدرسة، وتعب عائلتي، وحلمي الذي كبر معي سنة بعد سنة.

لذلك، فإن معدل 85.7% بالنسبة لي ليس رقمًا عاديًا، ولا يمكن قياسه بالعلامات وحدها. إنه نتيجة اثنتي عشرة سنة من الدراسة، وسنة توجيهي خضتها في ظروف قاسية لا تشبه أي سنة أخرى. إنه دليل على أنني، رغم الحرب والخوف والتعب، وصلت إلى النهاية ولم أترك حلمي.

قد يرى البعض الرقم فقط، أما أنا فأرى خلفه طفلًا بدأ رحلته منذ اثنتي عشرة سنة، وطالبًا حاول أن يصنع مستقبله وسط الحرب، وعائلة انتظرت هذه اللحظة ودعت من أجلها طويلًا.

الحمد لله على نتيجة جاءت بعد كل هذه المعاناة. أنا فخور بما حققته، ليس لأن الطريق كان سهلًا، بل لأنني أكملته رغم كل شيء.
