🛠 Ongoing Maintenance 🛠
Dogechain Blockchain Is LIVE - Bridge In Final Testing Phase 🎯
Reacting to a protocol security alert, our devs detected a bug in the bridge contracts and resorted to pausing the chain to perform maintenance.
Thanks to still running in a “Chained” state and PoA, the team was able to successfully revert the unwarranted minting of wDOGE on Dogechain.
💪 Rest assured, no Dogecoin was affected by this bug, nor were any funds lost in the process. Balances will remain intact. This was an internal bug we fixed, not an exploit or hack.
Dogechain is still in its early days and for this reason, we will remain in POA state until we are sure the chain is ready to transition to POS 🔀
⚙️ The good news is our background analysis and development work is progressing well.
We will soon announce the date of when we will be fully moving to POS, along with details on how you can provide security to Dogechain by running a node.
