What You Need to Know Before Sending Menfess

SHOULD DO

1. Follow all rules stated in the General Rules section.

2. Only CA, BA, FA, and PA accounts may participate. RP and RPRL accounts are not allowed to send menfesses or interact in the comment section.

3. Any media attached to your menfess must include our watermark.

4. Use one (1) appropriate hashtag at the beginning of your menfess:

• #FindFolk, looking for friends, affectionate
partners, groups, or app mutuals.
• #AskFolk, asking questions.
• #TellFolk, sharing stories, thoughts, experiences,
or rants.
• #HelpFolk, asking for help or sharing important
information.

Note:

a. Only one (1) hashtag may be used per menfess.
Multiple hashtags in a single menfess are not
allowed.
b. If you are looking for an affectionate partner,
you must state your exact age. Affectionate
partner-related menfesses are strictly for adults
aged 18 and above and must clearly include MDNI.
c. If you are looking for a call partner,
you must also state your exact age. Age ranges or
vague descriptions are not allowed (e.g. “23” is
acceptable, while “20+” is not).

5. You must send your own menfess. Do not send a menfess on behalf of someone else, and do not ask others to send one for you.

6. Please add a Content Warning (CW) or Trigger Warning (TW) if your menfess contains sensitive topics that may make others uncomfortable.

SHOULDN'T DO

1. Do not directly mention channel usernames or bots in your menfess. Use periods (.), slashes (/), or spaces ( ) to separate them instead.

2. Do not use media containing pornographic, sexually explicit, disturbing, highly sensitive, or triggering content.

3. Do not ask for the sender's identity for any reason. Western Folk is committed to keeping all menfesses anonymous.

4. Do not request the removal or takedown of a menfess for any unclear reason once it has been posted.

5. Do not send comments that are unrelated to the topic being discussed.

6. Do not send low-effort copycat menfesses or repeatedly follow trends without adding meaningful contribution to the conversation.

7. Do not mention your own account, profile, or avatar in any context.

8. Each account may only be mentioned up to three (3) times per day. Excessive mentions may result in restrictions, including a temporary hold on future mentions of the tagged account.

9. Do not mention products, applications, brands, organizations, or public figures included on our boycott list.

MEET THE FOLK:
Weekend Bio Session

SHOULD DO

3. All bios must be written in English.

4. This session is intended for:
• Looking for friends.
• Looking for an affectionate partner.
• Finding app mutuals.

5. Your account identifier must be provided as a Telegram link (t.me/, telegram.dog/, telegram.me/). Username tags (@.username) are not allowed.

6. The account linked in your bio must belong to your personal account. The sender and the account linked in the bio must be the same person.

7. The preview of the Telegram link you provide must be visible.

8. If your bio is looking for an affectionate partner, you must be 18 or above and clearly include MDNI.

9. If you are looking for an affectionate partner or a call partner, you must state your exact age. Age ranges or vague descriptions are not allowed (e.g. “23” is acceptable, while “20+” is not).

SHOULDN'T DO

1. Do not use links to channels, groups, bots, or other non-personal accounts.

2. Do not attach media during the bio session.

3. Do not use Telegram settings that require Telegram Premium or Stars to send you a message.

4. Do not use your bio to create, recruit for, or promote groups, circles, or similar activities.

5. Do not use your bio to request help.

6. Do not use your bio to seek sexual partners or sexual arrangements, including hookups, ONS, FWB, or similar arrangements.

7. Do not use your bio to include content that violates the General Rules, including pornographic, sexually explicit, hateful, discriminatory, or otherwise prohibited content.

8. Do not use account setups containing pornographic or sexually explicit content.

AGE DISCLOSURE

For any menfess looking for a call partner or an affectionate partner, stating your exact age is mandatory. The age you provide must be specific, such as “23,” “06L,” or “nineteen.” Age ranges or vague age descriptions are not accepted, including “20+,” “20s,” “adult,” “legal,” or similar terms.

This requirement is especially important for affectionate partner-related menfesses, so Folkies can make informed decisions about who they interact with. Please do not use an age range, age category, or vague description in place of your actual age.

Western Folk cannot verify whether the age provided by a sender is truthful, so each sender is responsible for the accuracy of the age they state. If any Folkies find someone deliberately falsifying their age, please report them to @WeFolkBot using the complaint template provided here. Reports will be reviewed and appropriate action may be taken, including restriction or a ban from accessing Western Folk and its associated spaces.

AGE REQUIREMENT FOR AFFECTIONATE PARTNERS

As stated in our Age Disclosure rule, anyone looking for an affectionate partner must state their exact age in their menfess. The sender must be at least 18 years old or above at the time of sending. Menfesses looking for an affectionate partner must also clearly include MDNI (Minor Do Not Interact).

This requirement is part of the measures we put in place to protect our minor Folkies and maintain a clear boundary between adult and minor interactions. Please respect this boundary and do not attempt to bypass the age requirement or leave any trace on affectionate partner-seeking menfesses if you are under 18.

POLITICAL-RELATED MENFESS

Political-related menfesses are allowed on @WesternFolk as long as they are made for discussion, awareness, information, or finding people to talk to. You can look for friends or conversation partners to discuss current politics, share information about demonstrations or political situations, talk about political figures and government programs, or simply express your own opinions and criticism.

Political jokes, satire, rants, and similar expressions are allowed as long as they remain within the context of discussion or humor. For example, joking about wanting to “take down” a political figure or regime is fine when clearly presented as a joke or figurative expression.

What isn’t allowed is content that encourages actual violence, threatens or calls for harm against individuals or groups, or deliberately promotes hatred and hostility toward a particular group.

Political discussions may naturally involve different opinions, but please keep the conversation respectful.

BOYCOTT-RELATED MENFESS

Western Folk does not support or tolerate genocide, and we stand firmly against actions, movements, or entities directly associated with Zionism and the ongoing oppression of Palestinians.

As part of this stance, we do not allow menfesses that directly mention, promote, support, or platform individuals, brands, organizations, or entities included in our boycott policy. This also applies to menfesses that may indirectly promote or normalize entities that are clearly connected to Zionism or the ongoing oppression of Palestinians.

For the current boycott list and further references, Folkies can check @VoiceOfPalestina as our primary reference. The list may change over time, so we encourage everyone to check the latest version before sending a menfess.

Western Folk also reserves the right to remind and ask Folkies to remove or replace any mention of an entity included in the boycott list, even if the mention was made unintentionally or within an otherwise unrelated menfess. Please cooperate with our admins when asked to make such changes.

We ask all Folkies to respect this stance and avoid bringing content that directly contradicts our boycott policy into Western Folk.

STRICTLY PROHIBITED: NSFW PURPOSES

Menfesses looking for partners for NSFW or sexual purposes are strictly prohibited, including hookups, ONS, FWB, sexual partners, or similar arrangements. This also applies when the intention is not stated explicitly. We may consider the wording and context of a menfess to determine whether it is intended to lead toward sexual interactions.

Folkies who send menfesses that are clearly or implicitly intended for this purpose will be reminded not to send such menfesses, and the menfess will not be allowed into Western Folk. This rule is in place to keep Western Folk a safe and comfortable space for all Folkies, especially our minors, and to prevent our base from being used to facilitate sexual interactions.

PENALTIES

Penalties are given based on the type and severity of the violation. Please take note of the following:

1. Using a non-English language
Using a language other than English while participating in Western Folk will result in a 1-day mute. Kindly use English when interacting with our base, as English is our primary language of communication.

2. Posting links other than Telegram links
Posting links other than Telegram links will result in a 1-day mute.

3. Mentioning entities included in our boycott list
Mentioning, promoting, or directly referring to any entity included in our boycott list will result in a 1-day mute.

4. Using a roleplay account
Interacting with Western Folk using a roleplay account will result in a permanent ban, as roleplay accounts are not allowed to interact on @Westernfolk.

5. Going off-topic in the comment section
Going off-topic in our comment section will result in a permanent ban.
