’One of the leading intellectual and media figures of the twentieth century was journalist and presidential adviser Walter Lippmann. He thought that people in general was unable to draw conclusions and come up with solutions without being controlled by an intellectual elite.’

French universal genius Paul Valery once said that ’politics is the art of preventing people from taking part in affairs which properly concern them.’ Some would argue that this is something that the Power Elite of the world has succeeded extremely well in doing.

But who are the ’Power Elite’?

Sociologist C. Wright Mills, who coined the term “Power Elite,” defined it as “those that occupy the dominant positions, in the dominant institutions: military, economic and political, of a country.” In other words: key people in key positions of power. One might also add the intelligence agencies.

Peter Dale Scott, former diplomat and professor in English at UC Berkeley, coined the term “Deep politics,” which refers to the secret networks operating within and outside government agencies. In essence; a deep state functioning behind the official one and where the real power is. Scotts talks about ”Structural deep events” to refer to deep events which ”are large enough to affect the whole fabric of society.” These events, he says, are used to effect far reaching deep political goals, and may be used as a pretext for a swathe of subsequent deep events.

⚖️ Greek high court overturns vaccine requirement for health workers (Updated: November 25, 2022 20:30 CET)

In a decision that may signify the end of a 15-month saga for unvaccinated Greek health workers who have been suspended without pay since Sept. 1, 2021 due to their choice not to receive the COVID-19 vaccine, Greece’s Council of State — the country’s highest administrative court—ruled Thursday, November 24. that the continued vaccine mandate for healthcare workers in Greece was unconstitutional. [Brussels, 11.11.2022] Christine Anderson (AfD): YouTube didn't want you to know what we uncovered in the EU special committee on the Corona pandemic

YouTube has deleted several videos with speeches by Christine Anderson (AfD), who is a member of the EU special committee on the Corona pandemic for the ID group. In some cases, even videos with questions that the MEP had asked in the committee were sanctioned. Following legal intervention, YouTube caved in and put videos that had already been censored back online. Anderson is now calling on YouTube to hand over the "medical misinformation guidelines" on which the platform operator bases its sanctions. "The impression here is that information that doesn't fit the desired narrative should be suppressed. I won't stand for that. If YouTube lets my deadline pass unused, I will file a lawsuit in court,'' Anderson said.

Anderson regularly publicizes how high-ranking representatives of the pharmaceutical industry, such as the vice president of AstraZeneca, increasingly come under pressure during hearings and criticized Pfizer CEO Alfred Bourla for canceling his participation in one such meeting at short notice. "I call for a committee of inquiry to take a closer look at the relationship between the Pfizer CEO and EU-Commission President Ursula von der Leyen."

Anderson and her Dutch colleague Rob Ross also uncovered a scandal: "Bourla's representative on the committee, Janine Smalls, had to admit to Ross in a questioning that the pharmaceutical giant had no knowledge before the market launch of the Pfizer/BionTech drug whether it could be used to prevent the infection as well as the transmission of Covid-19 at all. "Statements like - "If you vaccinate, you protect yourself and others!" - in the context of the Covid vaccination campaign were simply lies!"

In a written question, Anderson is now asking the EU Commission where statements in support of the vaccination campaign originated, such as those still being used by the German government, and whether sanctions can be expected for such "fake news" within the framework of the EU action plan against disinformation.

The white paper revolution in China

In China, protesters for democracy are holding a white sheet of paper to symbolise their lack of freedom of speech as a stand-in for all the things people cannot say.

The first use of this symbol goes back to the Hong Kong protest in 2020 and ever since, it has been used in many countries worldwide.

It presents authorities with a difficult dilemma: arrest people for saying literally nothing at all or allow a simple act of resistance to proliferate unchallenged.

In the social media age, the blank sheet has the added benefit of being difficult for online censors to quickly block on a large scale, without accidentally censoring many other images or videos.

Despite their bravery, the Chinese protesters probably don't stand a chance and many will be deported, locked up or, in the worst case, killed. We can only look in awe at these people, who willingly risk their lives to stand up for each other, for democracy.

We, from EuropeansUnited, will promote the use of this symbol during protests, to show we stand by our Chinese brothers and sisters. It's one of the few things we can do, to show we know and we care.

It also reminds us of the dangers of authoritarian regimes, and the fact there is still massive censorship in the "free, but not so free" West on social media. This censorship is done by social media companies who have a monopoly, and based on "official information". In other words, plain old state censorship disguised as "war on disinformation". Ironically, this is exactly the term used by the Chinese government.

So people all over Europe: Let us use this empty white paper as a symbol in all protests! Wherever you come from, left or right, whatever or whoever you represent, let's unite against oppression, let's rise up worldwide. Show the world we stand up for democracy, we stand up for each other!

Spread this message wherever you can! Together we can do this and bring a message of hope to this dark world.
