This is the last data gathered by the Office for National Statistics. The survey suggests that 43% (!!!) adults in the UK are finding it "very difficult" to pay energy bills. Amongst those, 6% is already behind on their electricity and gas bill! These are millions(!!) that will significantly struggle to make it through the winter; they are already not paying. These are your neighbours, your relatives. These are the cashiers at Morrisons that didn't stop working through the pandemic, the riders that delivered our food, and probably this is you as well. If the situation is so bleak now, what would this look like once the price goes up again in October? For us, it is clear. When millions can't make it, it is a system failure. Reaching a million people to pledge to stop paying their bills is more than possible. More and more leaflets are being ordered every day. More and more local organisers are joining from across the UK. We won't be left to choose between heating or eating while this shit-show of government indulges in internal power struggles to distract us from what matters. Today, July 18, 2022, we have just received JUDGMENT 645/2022 FROM THE SUPERIOR COURT OF JUSTICE OF ASTURIAS, ADMINISTRATIVE CONTENTIOUS CHAMBER, where it has estimated the claims of the LIBERUM ASSOCIATION, and has declared NULL BY FULL LAW THE SANITARY PROTOCOL OF THE PRINCIPALITY OF ASTURIAS that imposed diagnostic tests (PCR and antigens) on NON-VACCINATED PROFESSIONALS AND RESIDENTS. These tests were required when they entered the centers, when they had to go to work, when they left the residences, as well as when they established isolation of hosts of the center. It is a victory for the LIBERUM Association and the LIBERUM LEGAL TEAM, in defense of the human and fundamental rights of the entire ASTURIAN and SPANISH society, which we share with all of you.
