What a fascinating paper! Though I doubt Fauci knows his elbows from his backside where it comes to interpreting histopathological slides (it’s very hard & considered in part an art as much as a hard science) there’s no doubting the conclusions of a recent (12 years ago) paper with Fauci’s name on it.

He knew that in none of the respiratory viral epidemics / pandemics was viral pneumonia the prime killer, but secondary BACTERIAL pneumonia.

In the implications & recommendations is stockpiling antibiotics (as well as anti-virals).

How was it, them, that just 11 years later, he appears to have totally forgotten that many victims died of treatable, bacterial pneumonia.

Fauci is also an author on a paper showing that choloquine is a useful antiviral against the closest virus ever to have been characterised (the original SARS or SARS-CoV of 2003).

It’s more than odd that he’d go in heavily against the milder version, hydroxychloroquine, HCQ, as at least a rational experimental therapeutic.

It was using this logic that Dr Didier Raoul of Marseilles followed in trialing HCQ very early in 2020 (with great success, which was followed by his cancellation by the French media).
Raoul was just along the coast from us in Nice at the time & it was gratifying that some of his volunteer patients were from Nice. It was the time of the annual Nice Carnival, which had been run for over 100 years and coincident with the arrival of Covid19 from Northern Italy, just a few tens of kilometres east of us which prompted the organisers to close the 2020 Nice carnival a day early.
2021, the carnival was cancelled. Very sad.

At around the same time, Dr Zev Zekenko in NYC was also rejecting the official “therapeutic nihilism” & trialling HCQ though I think he added oral zinc plus an agent chosen because it opens cell ion channels which aid zinc getting inside cells (I think it was azithromycin, an off patent Pfizer antibiotic which, as Zithromax, was among the biggest selling drugs for suspected bacterial infections of the lungs.

Shortly afterwards, Dr Pierre Kory was experimenting with ivermectin & he became the prime physician associated with IVM (while dozens of other empirical trials started around the world, culminating later in a metaanalysis authored by Dr Tess Lawrie in U.K.

Meanwhile, Dr Peter McCullough was inspired by some of those names to draft the infamous paper on rational, sequential, multi-drug treatments for Covid19, which became one of the most downloaded papers.

Every one of those people was relentlessly smeared, attacked & some were actually threatened, if not physically, then by professional deplatforming or dismissals.

Odd though that Fauci “forgot” his prior works. He survives only because there is a common sugar daddy with money feeds both Fauci (& in turn, those his NIAID funds) & the mass media.

If ever the media chose to turn on Fauci, they could destroy him faster than you can say “conflicts of interest”.

Why wasn’t Fauci intervening to dissuade hospitals from excessively placing Covid19 patients on ventilators? Viral pneumonia isn’t classically an “obstructive disorder”.

Anyway, I just wanted to share the key findings in this paper, apologies for digressing!
