This January, a mother of two made a speech at a rally in Denmark. CHANGE in Sweden's vaccination strategy just announced: More people will receive a vaccine dose!
As many as possible should be offered a first dose of vaccine before the second dose is given. Elderly people should also be given clearer priority, according to the Swedish Public Health Agency's new prioritization scheme for vaccinations.

The interval between doses one and two is also extended by up to a maximum of six weeks. This means that more Swedes will now be offered a first dose of vaccine before the second dose.

"The Swedish Public Health Agency makes the assessment that a dose provides sufficient protection for the benefits of giving more people a first dose to be considered," says Johan Carlson, Director General of the Swedish Public Health Agency.

The Swedish vaccination scheme is that all adults who want to be vaccinated and where people who are at greater risk of severe covid-19 should be further ahead in the queue, for example the elderly.
However, the Public Health Agency's assistant state epidemiologist Karin Tegmark Wisell has opened up in Expressen for a possible recommendation that children should also be vaccinated.
