MASSACHUSETTS BILL ADVANCES TO LIMIT PERSONAL DRIVING MILES
A Massachusetts proposal has moved forward after receiving a 4-1 committee vote, aiming to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by limiting how much residents drive. The bill would require MassDOT to set statewide targets to reduce total vehicle miles traveled and establish a council to expand public transportation access.
