Protest against Afrigen - South African MRNA shot hub
South Africans protested today outside the premises of Afrigen, touted as a mRNA vaccine hub facility. WHO Director General Adhenom Tedros Ghebreysus recently visited the Afrigen facility in April. In February last year, he is reported to have told Afrigen CEO Petro Terblanche “Our baby is in good hands and will get stronger."
What did Dr Sucharit Bhakdi do to land him in trouble?
Experts like Dr Sucharit Bhakdi, molecular biologist, are speaking out. Bhakdi is being investigated by German authorities for comments related to warnings about MRNA injections. His case will be heard Tuesday 23 May. He recently stated: “The integration of any foreign gene into your chromosome can cause cancer immediately.” “[It] can cause all sorts of inflammation and moreover will cause this gene to be transmitted to your offspring."
What does World Council for Health say?
The World Council for Health released a scoping review on mRNA technology. In the review, the expert authors assert: "RNA platforms that have been attempted for non-Covid ‘vaccine’ applications prior to Covid, such as for rabies, influenza and zika viruses, have little published and verifiable safety data. Data that are available suggest very high rates of serious side effects. Notably, with regard to RNA ‘vaccines’, the totality of evidence on the use of the mRNA platform for the purpose of vaccination from human studies involved a mere 285 people prior to trials for Covid-19 ‘vaccines’."
mRNA cold storage, but without electricity?
Dr. Sylvie Briand, WHO's director of Pandemic and Epidemic Diseases, said “there is the issue of the distribution of those vaccines across the country. And so it requires us to have a good cold chain," said Briand, speaking specifically of the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine, which needs to be kept in exceptionally cold storage. “We really hope that this transfer of technology would be a game-changer," Briand said at a press conference for UN journalists on Wednesday. Given South Africa’s crippling electricity supply disaster, how this ambitious venture will work, by being safe and effective, needs to be properly ventilated. South Africans are unlikely to accept further stress on their unstable electricity grid.
Which other African countries are targeted?
As previously reported, this WHO Africa mRNA roadmap includes Egypt, Kenya, Nigeria, Senegal, and Tunisia - which have also been targeted to receive the technology to produce mRNA vaccines. Technology transfer hubs are training facilities where specialized technology is established at an industrial scale for clinical development and/or production.
