MY PROJECTS:
I notice on Twitter some followers like the idea I talk about Facebook, Messenger and Instagram apps in order to discover new features.. but I also understand that many followers are here for WhatsApp and maybe they don’t like this change.
I think the same might be true for my subscribers here on Telegram, also if honestly it’s strange to see a channel about WhatsApp here, but the number of my subscribers here let me know it was a good idea.
Seen that I would like to continue to talk about FB apps, I promise I will just publish the link of new FB articles here, and note they will be rare (one article once a week probably, if there is news) and my main priority is ALWAYS WhatsApp.
I have decided to continue to use @WABetaInfo because it’s the name the Web knows me for my reliability.
I have also announced I’m planning to redesign the website, including support for responsive mode and HTTPS, better mobile experience, fixes and other small ideas.. Give me time please, I’m alone to do this..
I will also move the FB news in a dedicated section, so opening the website you will read WhatsApp news only, and who is interested to know FB news will open that section.

NEWS:
WhatsApp is starting to experiment the Facebook servers for allowing you to connect to WhatsApp, in specific countries.
This is to improve the quality of the connection. Goodbye #WhatsAppDown?

BUG:
There is a bug about recognizing verified businesses on WhatsApp for iOS.
If a business appears no longer verified for no reasons, follow this guide to restore its real state:
• Delete the verified business chat and close WhatsApp.
• Remove it from your Contacts.
• Open and close WhatsApp in order to refresh your info. This step might be necessary for some users.
• Add it back in your Contacts, open WhatsApp and it should appears verified again.

Note: enterprises might have (or maybe especially them..) the same bug on iOS.

WhatsApp is still developing it and the team is focusing right now to improve calls.

MORE DETAILS:
It adds many improvements to the old change number feature: you will be able to choose specific contacts to notify, and the chat history will be moved in the new chat on the recipients’ phone.
This deletes the problem of duplicated chats.

📝 WhatsApp for iOS 2.18.40 changelog is available.

Added the possibility to see statuses in the WhatsApp Widget (only in the Today View), Sticker Store (under development) and other!

All users from Israel are now connected to WhatsApp through the Facebook servers. 🇮🇱
This ensures a better quality of the connection.
