💨 Gas fees reward network validators for confirming transactions. Because blockchains are decentralized, they rely on validators (or miners) to process transactions, and gas fees act as their reward.

Picture a highway at rush hour—too many cars trying to get through simultaneously lead to congestion, and some drivers are willing to pay more for priority access. The same occurs with blockchain transactions: when demand is high, fees increase because users bid to process their transactions faster.
📉 Fees decrease when fewer people are transacting. Roads clear late at night or during off-peak hours, and so do blockchain networks. With less competition for block space, transaction costs naturally decrease.
