BREAKING: 7 people shot on Holley Avenue in Birmingham, Alabama.

The Birmingham Police Department is investigating a shooting Thursday evening.

According to the BPD, the incident occurred in the 100 block of Holley Avenue. Seven people were shot. Their conditions have not been disclosed at this time.

UPDATE: In a joint operation, the Los Angeles Police Department and the Drug Enforcement Agency swept through MacArthur Park for another drug crackdown on Thursday.

The LAPD said it arrested 13 people for drug-related crimes, including being under the influence of narcotics and lesser offenses.

This is the second drug enforcement operation in the Westlake District area. Last month, federal agents flooded the same neighborhood for "Operation Free MacArthur Park."

BREAKING: Tonight, authorities are identifying the man who died in a fatal stabbing in Tarzana as actor James Handy.

LAPD says Handy was stabbed yesterday morning in a residential area by his girlfriend's son. Investigators say the suspect called police and turned himself in when officers arrived at the scene.

The 81-year-old actor made appearances in Jumaji, Top Gun: Maverick and Arachnophobia.
