Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Project Manager with strong expertise in the Oil and Gas industry, specifically in pipeline construction and infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, executing, monitoring, and delivering complex oil and gas projects while ensuring compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, budget requirements, and project timelines. The successful candidate must possess proven experience in project bidding and tendering processes, stakeholder management, and end-to-end project lifecycle delivery within the oil and gas sector.
Job Responsibilities
ยท Lead and manage oil and gas pipeline projects from initiation to completion.
ยท Develop comprehensive project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocations.
ยท Coordinate engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning activities.
ยท Oversee pipeline installation, maintenance, and infrastructure development projects.
ยท Prepare and manage bidding, tender documentation, and contract proposals.
ยท Participate in prequalification processes, tender evaluations, and commercial negotiations.
ยท Ensure projects comply with industry regulations, safety standards, and environmental policies.
ยท Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
ยท Manage project budgets, cost control, forecasting, and financial reporting.
ยท Collaborate with clients, contractors, consultants, and government regulatory bodies.
ยท Lead cross-functional project teams and supervise contractors/vendors.
ยท Provide regular project performance reports to senior management and stakeholders.
ยท Ensure adherence to HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) requirements.
Job Requirements
ยท Bachelorโs degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Petroleum, or related field).
ยท Minimum of 5โ7 years proven experience in the Oil & Gas industry.
ยท Demonstrated experience managing pipeline projects and strong knowledge of project lifecycle management and engineering practices.
ยท Strong hands-on experience in bidding, tendering, and contract management.
ยท Candidates must possess one or more of the following certifications: Project Management Professional (PMP) โ Project Management Institute PRINCE2 Practitioner, NEBOSH / IOSH Health & Safety Certification, COREN Certification (for Engineering professionals in Nigeria) and HSE Level 1, 2 & 3 Certifications (Membership of relevant professional bodies is an added advantage).
ยท Proven track record of successful project delivery within oil and gas operations.
ยท Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
ยท Knowledge of Nigerian oil and gas regulatory requirements is an advantage.
ยท Proficiency in project management tools (MS Project, Primavera P6, or equivalent).
