Today the Georgia Division of the Sons of Confederate Veterans are holding their Georgia State Convention in Perry, Georgia.
=Midlothian, Virginia=

Today over 80 people attended a Memorial Service hosted by the Sons of Confederate Veterans Virginia Division honoring Confederate President Jefferson Davis in Huguenot Springs Confederate Cemetery in Midlothian, Virginia. A suburb west of Richmond, the former capital of the Comfederacy.

A picture of the Confederate Monument in Huguenot Springs Confederate Cemetery after being honored in the ceremony today. Over 250 Confederate patriots were buried here when the site was used as a hospital during the War for Southern Independence. Before being utilized as a hospital during the war, Huguenot Springs was a spa and hotel.
=St. Landry Parish, Louisiana=

Yesterday, June 1st 2024, the local Sons of Confederate Veterans Brigadier General J.J. Alfred A. Mouton Camp #778 of Opelousas hosted its annual Confederate Memorial Day observance at the St. Landry Parish Confederate Monument.

Afterward, members dispersed to local cemeteries to place flags on the graves of Confederate Dead from the War for Southern Independence.
=Jackson, Louisiana=

A Confederate Memorial Day service was held yesterday, June 1st 2024 in the Centenary College Confederate Cemetery in Jackson, Louisiana.

The Memorial Day Service was hosted by the local United Daughters of the Confederacy Feliciana Chapter #2665 and the local Sons of Confederate Veterans Capt. Gustavus A Scott Camp #244

They were assisted by elements of the Sons of Confederate Veterans Henry Watkins Allen Camp #133 and the Sons of Confederate Veterans Washington Rifles Camp #2211
=New Orleans, Louisiana=

Today, June 2nd 2024, the annual Confederate Memorial Day Service was held in the Confederate Section of Metairie Cemetery. The service was hosted by the local Sons of Confederate Veterans Beauregard Camp #130.

Rifle salutes were conducted at the Army of Northern Virginia Tumulus and the Army of Tennessee Tumulus.

Participants also had the opportunity to honor their ancestors by saying their name during the ceremony.

=Higginsville, Missouri=

The annual Missouri Confederate Memorial Day Service was held this weekend June 1st 2024 at the Confederate Memorial State Historic Site in Higginsville, Missouri.

It was attended by some members the Sons of Confederate Veterans Major Thomas R. Livingston Camp #2327 who took these pictures.

More than 800 Confederate patriots from the War for Southern Independence are buried here, most of them residents of the Post-War Missouri Confederate Veterans Home that was on the site.
=Crossville, Tennessee=

The local Sgt. William A. Hamby Camp # 1750, Sons of Confederate Veterans held their annual Confederate Memorial Day service on Saturday, June 1st 2024 at the monument across from the Cumberland County Courthouse in Crossville, Tennessee.

The groups next regular meeting will be Monday, June 10th 2024 for any local Southern patriots who are interested in getting involved.
=Baltimore, Maryland=

A Confederate Memorial Day service was held in the Confederate Section of London Park Cemetery in Baltimore, Maryland on June 1st 2024, hosted by the local Sons of Confederate Veterans and United Daughters of the Confederacy.

Maryland is a Southern state and many patriotic Southerners from Maryland have their lives in the War for Southern Independence. The State song of Maryland is a Confederate Nationalist song and the Maryland State flag includes the Confederate flag of Maryland during the war.

Prior to the recent destruction of many Confederate Monument across the South in the last few years, many local county and city courthouses in Maryland had Confederate Monuments in front of them like most other Southern States.
=Peewee Valley, Kentucky=

A Confederate Memorial Day Service was held this weekend, June 1st 2024, in the Confederate Burial Grounds of Peewee Valley Confederate Cemetery, a state sanctioned Confederate Cemetery where over 313 Confederate Patriots are buried who were residents of postwar Kentucky Confederate Veterans Home.

The Memorial Day Service was hosted by the local Sons of Confederate Veterans John Hunt Morgan Camp #1342
