βDepend upon it, there is no difference between Consolidation and Empire; no difference between Centralism and Imperialism. The consummation of either must necessarily end in the overthrow of Liberty and the establishment of Despotism.β

TWO YEARS AGO TODAY the Prince Edward County Board of zoning appeals voted UNANIMOUSLY to reverse the decision of the Prince Edward Zoning and Planning Dept in their attempts to have the Rt 460 High Bridge Memorial Battle Flag removed. Since then, the Board of Supervisors has directed the county to continue to appeal that decision and the decision of the Circuit Court that upheld THEIR decision. So far, the county has spent over $100,000 of taxpayer funds in lawyers fees for this attempt and that will likely DOUBLE if they continue. Contact the Prince Edward Co Board of Supervisors and tell them to abide by the decision of their own Board of Zoning Appeals and the Circuit Court, stop wasting taxpayer dollars, and WITHDRAW the current appeal!
