St. Gotthard tunnel remains closed after an accident.☝️
The repairs will last months instead of weeks.
An alternate route through the Brenner train tunnels remains also closed because of extensive repairs.
The Austrian rail organisation ÖBB announced that the closing of the tunnels is without any other alternatives.

St. Gotthard-Tunnel bleibt nach Unfall gesperrt.
Die Reparaturen werden Monate statt Wochen dauern.
Eine Ausweichstrecke durch die Brenner-Eisenbahntunnel bleibt wegen umfangreicher Reparaturen ebenfalls gesperrt.
Die österreichische Bahngesellschaft ÖBB teilte mit, dass die Schließung der Tunnel alternativlos sei.
