He was broadcast manager of the morning show at MDR Sputnik and editor at WDR Funkhaus Europa. He currently works as an editor in program management/sound design at public broadcaster SWR2. It takes a lot of courage for someone like him to come clean. I, too, have contacts and colleagues at many radio stations who appreciate my work and also support it - sometimes as authors. As much as they complain about the work of their stations, they want to remain anonymous. And I can understand that.
Skambraks has broken out of silence. In an open letter published by the Internet portal "Multipolar Magazine," he mercilessly takes his employer to task. "I can no longer remain silent. I can no longer accept without a word what has been happening for a year and a half now at my employer, the public broadcaster. Things like 'balance', 'social cohesion' and 'diversity' in reporting are enshrined in the statutes and media state contracts. What is practiced is the exact opposite. There is no true discourse and exchange in which all parts of society can find each other."

Dinge wie 'Ausgewogenheit', 'sozialer Zusammenhalt' und 'Vielfalt' in der Berichterstattung sind in den Satzungen und Medienstaatsverträgen verankert. Was praktiziert wird, ist das genaue Gegenteil. Es gibt keinen wirklichen Diskurs und Austausch, in dem sich alle Teile der Gesellschaft wiederfinden können."
