Joe Biden now wants young children vaccinated against covid

Millions of children in the United States are to be vaccinated against Covid, the Biden administration says. This, despite study data advising against it. The death figures from Great Britain are also alarming.

Now the time has come: children in the United States will also be vaccinated against Covid-19. According to White House plans, the next round of vaccines will go out for the 5 to 14 age group. This represents a group of about 28 million people in the United States.

The vaccine - which does not prevent transmission of Covid-19 - will be available at pediatricians, local pharmacies and possibly even schools, according to the White House, which expects FDA approval of the Pfizer vaccine for children - who are least likely to contract or die from the virus - in a few weeks, as reported by the Associated Press. "Federal regulators will meet in the next two weeks to weigh the benefits of vaccinating children after lengthy studies are conducted to ensure the vaccines are safe," the White House said.

Within hours of formal approval, expected after the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention advisory meeting scheduled for Nov. 2-3, the vaccine doses, along with the smaller needles required for infant injections, will be shipped to providers across the country and enter children's arms in large numbers within days."

According to the announcement, the White House has secured enough to deliver more than 25,000 doses to pediatricians and primary care physicians who have already signed up to dispense the vaccine, while the country now has enough Pfizer vaccine to immunize about 28 million children who will soon be eligible, meaning this will not be a slow rollout.
