Maxwell case increases pressure on Prince Andrew in abuse scandal

How the new year may go for Prince Andrew will be decided right at the start. On Jan. 4, his lawyers plan to present in New York why the court should drop U.S. citizen Virginia Giuffre's damages suit against the queen's second eldest son. It is about forced sex and the abuse scandal around the U.S. entrepreneur Jeffrey Epstein.
Even though Andrew strongly denies the allegations, the case has already done enormous damage to his reputation. Royals experts in London see the 61-year-old as a loser even if he wins in court. "Prince Andrew should be quaking in his royal boots," lawyer Lisa Bloom, who represents several Epstein victims, told the Daily Mail newspaper. "Unfortunately for Andrew, it's not so much about evidence and proof or what, if anything, happened to Virginia Giuffre anymore," the paper quoted an unnamed royal observer as saying. "It's all about public perception."

Und nun, du Menschenkind, ich habe dich zum Wächter gesetzt, wenn du etwas aus meinem Munde hörst, dass du sie von meinetwegen warnen sollst.

Wenn ich nun zu dem Gottlosen sage: Du Gottloser musst des Todes sterben! und du sagst ihm solches nicht, dass sich der Gottlose warnen lasse vor seinem Wesen, so wird wohl der Gottlose um sein gottloses Wesen willen sterben; aber sein Blut will ich von deiner Hand fordern.

Warnst du aber den Gottlosen vor seinem Wesen, dass er sich davon bekehre, und er will sich nicht von seinem Wesen bekehren, so wird er um seine Sünde sterben, und du hast deine Seele errettet.

Darum, du Menschenkind, sage: Ihr sprecht also: Unsre Sünden und Missetaten liegen auf uns, dass wir darunter vergehen; wie können wir denn leben?

So sprich zu ihnen: So wahr als ich lebe, spricht der HERR, ich habe keinen Gefallen am Tode des Gottlosen, sondern dass sich der Gottlose bekehre von seinem Wesen und lebe. So bekehret euch doch nun von eurem bösen Wesen. Warum wollt ihr sterben?

Und du, Menschenkind, sprich zu deinem Volk: Wenn ein Gerechter Böses tut, so wird’s ihm nicht helfen, dass er fromm gewesen ist; und wenn ein Gottloser fromm wird, so soll’s ihm nicht schaden, dass er gottlos gewesen ist. So kann auch der Gerechte nicht leben, wenn er sündigt.

Denn wo ich zu dem Gerechten spreche, er soll leben, und er verlässt sich auf seine Gerechtigkeit und tut Böses, so soll aller seiner Frömmigkeit nicht gedacht werden; sondern er soll sterben in seiner Bosheit, die er tut.

Und wenn ich zum Gottlosen spreche, er soll sterben und er bekehrt sich von seiner Sünde und tut, was recht und gut ist, also dass der Gottlose das Pfand wiedergibt und bezahlt, was er geraubt hat, und nach dem Wort des Lebens wandelt, dass er kein Böses tut: so soll er leben und nicht sterben, und aller seiner Sünden, die er getan hat, soll nicht gedacht werden; denn er tut nun, was recht und gut ist; darum soll er leben.

Aber dein Volk spricht: Der HERR urteilt nicht recht, so sie doch unrecht haben.

Denn wo der Gerechte sich kehrt von seiner Gerechtigkeit und tut Böses, so stirbt er ja billig darum.

Und wo sich der Gottlose bekehrt von seinem gottlosen Wesen und tut, was recht und gut ist, so soll er ja billig leben.

Doch sprecht ihr: Der HERR urteilt nicht recht, so ich doch euch einen jeglichen nach seinem Wesen richte.


Ich wusste von Anfang an nicht, wohin mich mein Pfad führen würde, dennoch hat er sich inzwischen offenbart.

Als Soldat weiß ich nur allzu gut, dass die Waffe leicht in der Hand liegt, der Eid und die Uniform jedoch tonnenschwer sind.

Ich habe nach bestem Wissen und Gewissen all das Unrecht unserer Zeit benannt, jenseits der persönlichen Konsequenzen.

Nichtsdestotrotz ist auch der tapferste Gebirgsjäger irgendwann müde und erschlafft.

Ich habe nun meine Pflicht erfüllt. Das Volk ist gewarnt vor dem kommenden Unheil.

Ich lege folglich meinen Telegram Account still und warte auf die Entkleidung und Entbindung aus dem Soldateneid.

I did not know from the beginning where my path would lead me, yet in the meantime it has revealed itself.

As a soldier, I know all too well that the weapon is light in the hand, but the oath and the uniform are heavy as a ton.

To the best of my knowledge and conscience, I have named all the wrongs of our time, beyond the personal consequences.

Nevertheless, even the bravest mountain fighter eventually tires and slackens.

I have now fulfilled my duty. The people are warned of the coming disaster.

Consequently, I am shutting down my Telegram account and waiting to be disrobed and released from the soldier's oath.
