In Kalifornien sollen bald alle Schulkinder gegen Covid-19 geimpft sein. Verpflichtend ist die Impfung allerdings erst, sobald es für eine Altersgruppe eine vollständige Zulassung gibt.
Die Impfung gegen das Coronavirus sollte ab dem nächsten Jahr eine Voraussetzung für den Schulbesuch sein", sagte Govin Newsom am Freitag in seiner Ansprache an einer Schule. "Unsere Schulen verlangen bereits Impfungen gegen Masern, Mumps und andere Krankheiten. Und warum? Weil Impfungen wirken."
