At both demonstrations, we noticed that the protest posters were often in English, obviously to reach the international audience. On one poster of the pro Bolsonaro demonstration we even read the sentence, "Brazil is against communism" in German.
A few hours later, during the counter-protest, which was also very peaceful and manageable, we could notice a large number of red hammer and sickle flags. The symbol of Marxism-Leninism, which adorned and adorned the flags of many communist states. On the streets, however, it plays no relevant role.
