🔎 This measure triggered the anger of the local population who took to the streets to demonstrate and show their discontent. The situation was very tense and the gendarmerie (a military unit in charge of police missions) used tear gas and dispersal grenades to control the crowd.
📌 In retaliation, the crowd dispersed and angry protesters set fire to a vaccination center, which is now unusable. They also set up barricades.

A police officer from Siegen in North Rhine-Westphalia allegedly took part in a lateral thinking demonstration against the Corona policy in Berlin over the weekend while in uniform. Berlin police forces arrested him there. Now disciplinary proceedings have been initiated against the officer, the Siegen police department told the German Press Agency.
