Gegen einen Polizeibeamten aus Siegen, der sich in Uniform an einer Berliner Demo gegen die Corona-Politik beteiligt haben soll, ist ein Disziplinarverfahren eingeleitet worden. Nach dem Vorfall vom Samstag sei der Oberkommissar seiner Dienstgeschäfte enthoben worden, sagte ein Sprecher der Polizeibehörde Siegen am Donnerstag auf Anfrage.“

Suspension of police officer - involved in Corona demonstration

A police officer from North Rhine-Westphalia has been suspended after a trip to Berlin. The chief inspector is said to have joined protests of the "lateral thinkers" scene in the capital. Disciplinary proceedings have been initiated against a police officer from Siegen who allegedly took part in a Berlin demonstration in uniform against the Corona policy. After the incident on Saturday, the chief superintendent was relieved of his official duties, a spokesman for the Siegen police department said on Thursday when asked. Previously, the news portal "t-online" had reported that the police officer from North Rhine-Westphalia had taken part in protests of the lateral thinking scene in Berlin, wearing a jacket with "Polizei" inscription and NRW state coat of arms. According to the report, the officers of the Berlin police had arrested the chief inspector, taken his personal details and then let him go after consultation. In the lateral thinking scene the police officer from Siegen is already celebrated as a "hero". The Siegen police spokesman explained that they were checking whether there had been a breach of disciplinary law. Officers are obligated to neutrality. The chief inspector had participated "recognizably as a police officer" in the authorized demo of the party Die Basis, which was directed against the Corona policy. The investigating office was Berlin - and in order to be able to evaluate the entire circumstances, one was dependent on the results there. Since the event took place in Berlin, the state and assembly law there applies - not NRW law. According to the current state of knowledge, the Berlin colleagues do not assume a criminal offense, as it was said in Siegen. In addition, a photo is circulating that shows the officer holding a sign with the inscription "I don't participate in fascism". Anti-lockdown campaigner Monica Smit is currently a political prisoner in the People’s Republic of DanAndrewstan, otherwise known as Victoria.
Earlier today, I spoke with both Ms Smit’s partner and also her lawyer who informed me of this news.
She has been charged with a claim of “incitement” and allegedly breaching the CHO directives for posting remarks online in that were in opposition to the Victorian Labor Government’s lockdown regime.
In order to secure bail, the authorities demanded that she not only shut down her political organisation Reignite Democracy Australia and all of its associated websites and social media accounts but they also demanded that she not continue to “incite” opposition to the Victorian Labor Government’s lockdown regime which would likely mean she is not able to express her opposition to the Andrews’ lockdown regime publicly.
It should be noted that Reignite Democracy Australia has an application before the electoral commission to become a political party.
So to be clear, Ms Smit will only be allowed out of jail if she shuts down a fledgling political party and that fledgling political party’s means of communications, and if she refrains from any discussion around the political issue of lockdowns in Victoria.
Ms Smit’s imprisonment and her bail conditions are a clear breach of the implied constitutional freedom of political communication.
And just as this freedom is being undermined in Victoria, so too is the public trust and respect for the police when VicPol is arresting and prosecuting political campaigners like Ms Smit.
I call on Ms Smit to be released from jail without these outrageous limitations on her political rights and for the police to withdraw the politically-motivated charges against her and to refrain from further political arrests and prosecutions.

Ich habe heute mit dem Lebensgefährten von Frau Smit und auch mit ihrem Anwalt gesprochen, die mich über diese Neuigkeiten informiert haben.
Sie wurde wegen "Aufwiegelung" und angeblichen Verstoßes gegen die CHO-Richtlinien angeklagt, weil sie im Internet Äußerungen veröffentlicht hatte, die sich gegen das Abriegelungsregime der viktorianischen Labor-Regierung richteten.
Um eine Kaution zu erwirken, verlangten die Behörden nicht nur, dass sie ihre politische Organisation Reignite Democracy Australia und alle damit verbundenen Websites und Social-Media-Konten schließt, sondern auch, dass sie nicht weiter zur Opposition gegen das Abriegelungsregime der viktorianischen Arbeitsregierung "aufstachelt", was wahrscheinlich bedeuten würde, dass sie nicht in der Lage ist, ihre Opposition gegen das Abriegelungsregime von Andrews öffentlich zu äußern.
Es ist anzumerken, dass Reignite Democracy Australia einen Antrag bei der Wahlkommission gestellt hat, um eine politische Partei zu werden.
Frau Smit wird also nur dann aus dem Gefängnis entlassen, wenn sie eine junge politische Partei und deren Kommunikationsmittel abschafft und sich jeglicher Diskussion über das politische Thema der Abriegelungen in Victoria enthält.
Die Inhaftierung von Frau Smit und ihre Kautionsbedingungen sind ein klarer Verstoß gegen die in der Verfassung verankerte Freiheit der politischen Kommunikation.
Und so wie diese Freiheit in Victoria untergraben wird, so wird auch das öffentliche Vertrauen und der Respekt vor der Polizei untergraben, wenn VicPol politische Aktivisten wie Frau Smit verhaftet und verfolgt.
Ich fordere Frau Smit auf, aus dem Gefängnis entlassen zu werden, ohne dass ihre politischen Rechte in so ungeheuerlicher Weise eingeschränkt werden, und fordere die Polizei auf, die politisch motivierten Anklagen gegen sie zurückzuziehen und von weiteren politischen Verhaftungen und Verfolgungen abzusehen.
