Recently some users reported that they are unable to login to Viber, or their account is blocked.
Possibly Viber staretd to restrict accounts which are logged in from old devices. Also it is possible that they are blocking users who registered via my server's IP address.
Anyway until I find out what is happening I recommend to not activate Viber via proxy and wait for updates.

Also everyone who activated via my server an old device and it is working fine, please report that in comments.

I inspected logs and find out that some users sent a lot requests attempting to authorize random Viber phone numbers.
It was a bots and it looks like they tried to guess authorization code of random numbers and they used my server as a free proxy to hide their IPs. Some of IPs sent thousands of requests per day.
No data leaked and there is no way they could use phone numbers of people who logged in via my server. Random phone numbers bruteforced.

I don't want scammers to use my free proxy servers in any other purpose than it is designed for. Thats why I disabled proxy server for Viber activation, but it still works with Runtastic apps.

When I make solution to limit registration attemps per user I'll enable Viber activation again, and different proxy address will be used.

Hi everyone, I'm about to begin testing Viber activation. I need 5 activations from unsupported OS. This test aims to determine why Viber has banned certain numbers. Participating carries a risk of your number being banned, so please be aware of this before proceeding. Everyone who participates will need to inform me within 5 days if their number was banned and whether Viber is functioning as expected.
