30 years ago Dream Theater from Boston, #USA released their 2nd studio album entitled Images And Words.
This album is widely considered a landmark for Progressive Metal, after this #DreamTheater gained the status of leading band of the genre: to date it's the band's highest commercial success.
Images And Words is the band's first album with new vocalist James LaBrie.
Stunning, epic masterpiece from the first note to the last!

🎼 The Garden Fete
On July 6 1957, a Saturday, a local parish in a Liverpool neighborhood held an event which they called 👉 The Garden Fete: the event consisted in a procession, various sort of parades, and a final concert named for the occasion The Grand Dance.
To close the day a local band of teenagers was called, The Quarry Men Skiffle Group: the band leader and frontman was John Lennon (aged 16).
Some minutes before the concert Lennon was trying to tune his guitar🎸in "G" but he didn't know how, a guy from the public introduced himself and taught Lennon how to do: his name was Paul McCartney (aged 15) who later performed on stage with the band 2 songs and soon after entered the band.
This was the day when #JohnLennon and #PaulMcCartney first met, 2 teenagers in a Liverpool church garden who were destined to become great friends and the most succesful songwriters of all times!

30 years ago Megadeth from Los Angeles, #USA released their 5th studio album entitled Countdown to Extinction.
This album was immediately a tremendous success, peaking Billboard 200 at N.2, Megadeth's highest chart position ever. This happened mainly thanks to the band's simplified sound, highly appreciated both by fans and critics.
Countdown to Extinction contains many #Megadeth best known songs such as the titletrack, "Symphony of Destruction", "Sweating Bullets", "Skin o' My Teeth", all of which became acclaimed live standards.
