🎼3 April 1975. Happy Birthday πŸ₯³πŸΎ to DJ Cristiano Spiller born in Venice, #Italy.
I'm pretty sure few know or remember this 2 mt. tall guy in the video, as I'm 100% sure everyone heard and remembers his year 2000 hit single, "Groovejet (If This Ain't Love)", inspired by 1980s Italodisco.
The song reached number one almost everywhere selling millions, plus it was the first song ever played on an iPod ! 😳

πŸŽ₯ 4 April 1986. Venice in Movie Series.
La venexiana (internationally released as The Venetian Woman) is released. It's an Italian erotic film directed by Mauro Bolognini, starring Laura Antonelli, Monica Guerritore, Jason Connery, Clelia Rondinella, Claudio Amendola.
The film is a transposition of the anonymous 16th century comedy play La Venexiana: the play was discovered inside the Biblioteca Marciana in Venice in 1920s. In the original play the characters spoke in Venetian, Tuscan and Bergamasque dialect.

πŸŽ₯ 7 April 2009. Venice in Movie Series.
At the Indian Film Festival in Los Angeles, there's a premiΓ©re of a Hindi-language comedy drama directed by Anand Surapur. Its title is "The Fakir of Venice" and, yes, it's mostly fimed here in Venice πŸ˜ƒπŸ˜‰
πŸ’¬ Plot: It's the story of an Indian con man who is hired to find a Fakir πŸ§žβ€β™‚οΈwho can bury himself in sand for an art installation project in Venice (as far as I can understand, I guess it's connected with our #Biennale of Arts). The movie stars actors Farhan Akhtar, Annu Kapoor and Kamal Sidhu.
It will take 10 years to be released (January 2019) due to production related issues πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ, but as far as I see from the trailer πŸŽžπŸ‘‡... it looks like it's worth the wait! It must be really funny πŸ˜‚, have someone seen it?

🎼8 April 1692. Giuseppe Tartini, violinist and composer, was born in Pirano a small town in Istria peninsula, at the time part of the Republic of Venice, today part of Slovenia.
He's worldwide famous for his "Devil's Trill Sonata" (Il Trillo del Diavolo), inspired by the Devil himself! 😳
Tartini told his friend, the French astronomer Jérôme Lalande, that he had dreamed the devil who appeared to him and asked to be Tartini's servant and teacher. At the end of the music lesson, #Tartini handed the devil his violin to test his skill, which the devil began to play with virtuosity, delivering an intense and magnificent performance, this Sonata... doesn't this sound like a modern blues/rock/metal story? How many times we have heard that the Devil himself inspired musicians? 😈
In any case the Devil's Trill Sonata is absolutely crazy in its beauty! ❀️
