Workplace Well-being
🔖 Definition
"Workplaces well-being is a key factor in determining an organisation's long-term effectiveness. Many studies show a direct link between productivity levels and the general health and well-being of the workforce.
Enterprises and organizations are increasingly recognising the need to take the well-being of their workers seriously."
📸 Implementation
My enterprise (Me, Myself and I) took that really seriously and is being well 🤟

📜 22 March 1848
On that day the Republic of San Marco was established in Venice during the first Italian war of independence, following the insurrection of the city against the
👉 Austrian domination.
The main creator of the revolution and key figure of the new Republic was the Venetian lawyer Daniele Manin, who carried the surname of the 👉 last Doge of Venice.
This was the most significant episode of the insurrection riots which took place all over #Italy in 1848. The Republic of San Marco survived few months until August 1849 when, after a strenuous resistance, the city returned under #Austria.
📸 In the photos:
- Campo Manin in Venice with the monument dedicated to #DanieleManin and the 👉 San Marco Lion at its feet.
- Calle Larga XXII Marzo, named after the date, today e renowned "shopping street" not far from #SanMarco Square.
- The siege of Venice and the bombing of San Geremia Church by the Austrian from
👉 Forte Marghera.
- The proclamation of the Republic of San Marco.

📜25 June 1678. Equal rights... we're all living a historical moment where it looks like there are "more rights than duties" around, mostly coming from "above"... but the meaning of conquest itself, i.e. achieving something, seems to have lost its appeal.
On this day of 1678 Venice became (once more) the first city in the world to witness an absolute conquest!
Elena Lucrezia Cornaro Piscopia (shortened Elena Corner), a noble lady from Venice, became the first woman in the world admitted for an academic degree in Theology ("masked" with another name to avoid an international scandal 😳, women were not allowed at all on the subject) and the first to receive a Doctorate in Philosophy (from the near glorious University of Padua, needless to say one of the oldest in the world). 👏
Elena struggled in fact all her life for that, against all prejudices... as she was a woman in the exclusive men's academic world.
When you live in a city of conquests and beauty, you can only long for more! 💪🏻🔥
