‼️This afternoon, taking advantage of the weakening of the pressure of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the area and the concentration of their efforts in the direction of the Verbovoye Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, they launched a counterattack in the Rabotino area. They launched artillery and air strikes on the positions of the 82nd brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the village, after which they launched an attack from nearby heights, entering the settlement from the flanks. At the moment, they managed to take a number of positions in the south, the fate of the school building is not known for certain, and heavy fighting continues in the center of the village. There are reports of prisoners being taken. Also on the site today, the first Challenger was destroyed along with other equipment. The offensive on the site is complicated by the state of the settlement, which has already been repeatedly mentioned earlier. Now the Armed Forces of Ukraine are holding positions in the north of the village, the center has become a gray zone, where oncoming battles continue. In addition, it was recorded that the reserves of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were brought up to the forest plantations near Rabotino, as well as the transfer of 71 jaeger brigades to the Orekhovsky area. Also, fighting continues in the direction of Verbovoye, at the moment there are no changes in the front line. Now the Armed Forces of Ukraine are regrouping their forces before a new active wave of the offensive. True, now they will have to divert reserves to the battles in Rabotino, which is the essence of today's attacks by the RF Armed Forces.

This is the state of the VSU reserves: One Mechanized, One Jaeger and One artillery brigade still yet to be committed along with what can best be described as four "Separate Rifle Battalions" that are labeled as Brigades. Understanding what means requires some understanding of Ukrainian Brigade usage.

The VSU uses brigade level units differently than what we imagine, Matt Davies has better analysis than me, but basically summarizing his discoveries: VSU Brigades often attach and detach various elements from them on battalion level. It's a quite schizophrenic version of the American «Brigade Combat Team» with very little cohesion. I will leave Matt to describe this in greater detail another time since he is extremely knowledgeable on this subject.

With all of this in mind, it is safe to say that the recent mobilization of the sick is no coincidence at all. The VSU has started to truly run out of manpower to fill units and if this was the goal of the VSRF, then they succeeded in it.
