Захисники Бахмуту заслуговують на максимальну підтримку й найвищу подяку. Тому сьогодні я поруч із ними. Вони – надлюди. Наша міць, наші герої.

The East is holding out because Bakhmut is fighting. This is the fortress of our morale. In fierce battles and at the cost of many lives, freedom is being defended here for all of us.

Bakhmut defenders deserve our maximum support and our highest gratitude. That's why I am with them today. They are superhumans. They are our strength and our heroes.

Повернувся з Донеччини – з нашої Бахмутської фортеці. Був там сьогодні, щоб підтримати наших бійців, вручити державні нагороди, подякувати їм. Усім нашим героям – тим, хто обороняє там не лише Бахмут, не лише наш Донбас, але й усю Україну. Маємо це розуміти – абсолютно всі.

I’ve returned from the Donetsk region, from our Bakhmut fortress. I was there today to support our fighters, to present state awards, to express gratitude to them. To all our heroes - those who defend not only Bakhmut there, and not only our Donbas, but also the whole of Ukraine. We all should understand this.

Support our Bakhmut - tattered yet unconquered - and his defenders.
We will do everything possible and impossible, expected and unexpected, so that our heroes have everything they need to prevail. To get the results that all Ukrainians expect.

Glory to all the guards of the Bakhmut fortress!
Glory to all who fight for our country!
Glory to our indomitable and beautiful people!

Передав американському колезі відзнаку «Хрест бойових заслуг» від українського військового – командира батареї HIMARS. Під час нашої зустрічі у Бахмуті він попросив передати його нагороду Джозефу Байдену на знак вдячності за неоціненну підтримку України і той внесок, який зробили Сполучені Штати у посилення української обороноздатності.

Для мене велика честь бути зараз тут. Дякую за запрошення й теплий прийом у колі справжніх друзів України.

Today, I handed over the Cross of Combat Merit from a Ukrainian commander of a HIMARS battery to my American counterpart. At our meeting in Bakhmut, our hero asked me to hand over his award to Joseph Biden in a sign of gratitude for his invaluable support for Ukraine and the contribution made by the United States to strengthening Ukraine’s defense capabilities.

It is a great honor for me to be here now. I am grateful for the invitation and the warm welcome in the circle of Ukraine’s true friends.

Головне питання на всіх моїх переговорах сьогодні – це зміцнення України, це наступний рік і наш рух до перемоги у війні за незалежність.

І я дякую пану Президенту Байдену за щиру підтримку й розуміння України, зокрема за його особисті зусилля, надзвичайно цілеспрямовані мудрі кроки, які об’єднують світову спільноту.

За 300 днів цієї війни ми розпочали новий етап у відносинах України та США. Ми вийшли на рівень союзництва, яке на сто відсотків наповнене реальним змістом.

The key issue of all my negotiations today is the strengthening of Ukraine, the next year and our movement towards victory in the war for independence.

And I thank Mr. President Biden for his sincere support and understanding of Ukraine. In particular, for his personal efforts, very purposeful, wise steps that unite the world community.

In 300 days of this war, we started a new stage in the relations between Ukraine and the USA. We have reached the level of real alliance, which is one hundred percent filled with real content.

It is a great honor to be here to address the Congress and all Americans.

Ми перемогли Росію в битві за думки світу. Але битва досі триває. І ми повинні перемогти Кремль на полі битви.

Це битва не тільки за землю, за ту чи іншу частину Європи. Це битва не тільки за життя, свободу й безпеку українців чи будь-якого іншого народу, який Росія прагне підкорити.

Це битва за те, у якому світі житимуть наші діти й онуки та їхні діти й онуки. Вона визначить, чи буде це демократія – для українців і для американців, для всіх.

І наступного року – вирішальний час у ній. Час, коли українська сміливість і американська рішучість мають гарантувати майбутнє нашої з вами свободи. Свободи людей, які стоять за свої цінності.

Сказав про це під час звернення до Конгресу США.

We defeated Russia in the battle for minds of the world. Yet, the battle continues! And we have to defeat the Kremlin on the battlefield.

This battle is not only for the territory – for this or another part of Europe. This battle is not only for life, freedom and security of Ukrainians or any other nation, which Russia attempts to conquer.

This struggle will define – in what world our children and grandchildren will live and then – their children and grandchildren. It will define whether it will be a democracy – for Ukrainians and for Americans – for all.

And next year will be a turning point. The point, when Ukrainian courage and American resolve must guarantee the future of our common freedom. The freedom of people, who stand for their values.
